We are busy sorting out a route for Bury’s fabulous World War 1 Trail, and from September we will be offering rides round the Trail every evening and weekend.
2018 is the centenary of the end of World War One which resulted in 17 million deaths and 37 million casualties.
An art trail has been created around Bury St Edmunds to commemorate this, which features 18 pieces of the work of local artists depicting relevance to the War. The charity My Wish (which runs the Every Heart Matters appeal) will benefit from any donations made by those who enjoy the trail (which also has a competition for people who wish to discover all 18 pieces).
The trail is similar to the successful ‘Wolf’ trail around town in 2015. Whilst some of the War trail is inaccessible to the rickshaw, it is an opportunity to allow people who may not normally be able to view the artwork to see most of it.
